The pictures published here are renderings using a 3d program I have programmed using directX11 with an NVidia graphics card; a Geforce GTX 580 on a Windows7 64bit computer. I am a brain scientist interested in how our visual system works. When we look at a scene, early visual processing in our brain consists of detecting contours and surfaces in tiny areas of visual space.
